Best SustainableCommercial Project

Judges Statement:

From a walkable location to clean energy, the restored Anaheim packing house embodies sustainability in every sense of the word. The facility is

a hub for retail and social activity in its redeveloping neighborhood, supporting local business as marketplace vendors. With drought-tolerant and edible landscaping

features, the community park is an educational tool as well as a gathering spot. Modern efficiency updates to the historic structure include new window glazing, modular

energy and waste disposal components for each vendor bay, and an 83 kW solar array that meets 20% of the facility’s power needs.
